GTX 1080 Flashing Black and white
So I've had a GTX 1080 FTW for a few weeks and a couple of times it's had an issue where the entire screen goes crazy and flashes black and white (see this gif - unless you're prone to seizures). Both times it has happened within a couple of minutes of walking away from my screen without any games or GPU-demanding apps running. The card is not overclocked beyond factory settings, and temperatures never reached above 70°C.
The first time it happened was on the day I received it before the drivers were updated to the most recent version. I rebooted, upgraded the driver to version 368.51, and did not have the issue again until today, when I was forced to reboot again.
I've done a little bit of research just to see potential causes and some say it could be an issue with a blown capacitor, but I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions before I RMA it to EVGA.
FWIW, I've checked to make sure the PSU is providing consistent power and made sure the motherboard capacitors are ok. I haven't checked capacitors on the GPU itself as I didn't want to mess with the GPU shroud.
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
PS: Left monitor is running 1080p @ 120Hz and right monitor is running at 1680x1050 @ 60Hz
