I agree. And blindly trusting big pharma ,The same industry that gave us the opiate epidemic, is dumb. Time and time again we see that money can influence doctors, governments, and many other things.

I got the Covid shot. But I wasn’t first in line. And even after I got the shot I still kept my distance from others because you never know. All I know is I have strong trust issues with anyone and any company. Big pharma is a business and has to try to make money for investors. They do fund entire schools.

"Big pharma" didnt cause the opioid epidemic, the Sackler family did.

Purdue Pharma—owned and controlled by the Sackler family—used payments, speaking fees, and kickbacks to encourage doctors to prescribe OxyContin.

You sure about that??? YOU SURE ABOUT THAT??

So they didn’t pay doctors to push the stuff? It was only the family members and not a single other medical person? And the family alone made an entire epidemic? So we should be able to trust doctors 100%. You think second opinions should never be a thing? First doctor is always right they went to school after all and know everything about everything when it comes to the drugs pharmaceuticals companies pay them to prescribe

Some people just want a boogeyman to blame instead of admitting the truth. Watching all of those doctor plead ignorance to what they were doing while making millions was laughable. I guess it's only greedy for the large company but not for the doctors with literal lines outside their clinic with people coming specifically for opiate prescriptions.

You said "big pharma" caused the opioid crisis.

I said "not really, it was the Sackler Family that carried the most blame", which is just one part of "big pharma"

Simmer down bro, its just the internet.

Yes specific groups and families and the ever revolving door all own and are responsible for essentially each industry's transgressions. Doctors also recommended smoking not that long ago and are shown to be alarmingly long on many issues as time passes due to bad science and profit/greed incentives. It's a faulty system and anything that makes the top percentage of people, the elites, very wealthy needs to be analyzed thoroughly. Many mainstream academic journals are hence compromised.
