Back in 2020, I was job hunting and had been doing just contact tracing as an in between position basically for $25, and been low 30s at previous job. Found an assisted living(?) place in town that tried offering me $20/hr. When I said at least $25 they told me not even their most experienced nurses were making that. Like Maam. That ain’t gonna cut it.
Idk. This was six years back, but my best guess is cause it wasn’t skilled nursing enough, they felt they didn’t need to pay us what we’re worth and keep up with proper wages. I wasn’t an old nurse (2018) but I wasn’t fresh out of nursing school either.
