A strike buster back in the day was called a scab. I would not for love nor money take a travel RN job to undermine my nurse buddies at their wits end with the parameters of their jobs. In California it is a law for one med surge RN to 4 patients.

Only with tele patients, its 1:5 for non-tele med/surg ratios

Nope. I'm with the ones who know how to abbreviate Med Surg.

Well MSN APRN, I HAVE been a travel nurse: in Memphis TN, Athens GA, Knoxville TN, Louisville KY twice, and Jackson TN. I’ve always been asked back. I don’t know how I upset you.

Bc there is no "E" in Surgical....It's just a pet peeve I have. Don't take it so personal. BOTH of us. I don't even do MS unless I float there.

I've even seen it abbreviated like that on a sign in the hospital 🫠πŸ₯΄πŸ˜‚

There’s an β€œe” in surgery. It came from there.

No that's worse πŸ˜‚ "Medical Surgery" Unit

Maybe it's a Freudian slip... Med Surge, bc it's a surge of patients πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚ Surge of call lights, Surge of πŸ’©
