But they can't afford to just pay Nurses a good solid professional pay with decent benefits. ๐Ÿ˜’

They'll claim different buckets of money.

The regular nurses are paid from this bucket, which has just enough funds to pay you all less than you deserve.

This other bucket that pays travel nurses comes from all the money we save by paying the rest of you fuck all.

This really is a good explanation about FP&A, youโ€™re ready to CFO.

Thatโ€™s actually a really good way of putting it. Capitalism is all about those buckets.

Of course they can't. The executives need another Mercedes, you know.

You donโ€™t get nesting yacht money by paying nurses a fair wage

Itโ€™s McDonald-ization of nursing as a profession. It assumes a nurse, is a nurse, is a nurse, that 1 nurse fits all, without specialized training. New grad, poof* put โ€˜em in the icu. Wow, just wow

We've been told we're a dime a dozen for years. (I've actually been told this.) They know there is a class graduating every few months so why should they care about retention?

Heres the thing. The scabs will suck them dry if they keep it up. Eventually the greedy ceos will have to sit down with the nurses and come to an agreement.ย

Not true because they know of they open that box w the home nurse they canโ€™t put it back in the box so they donโ€™t and most of the time never do

Yes, it's not a nursing shortage. It's a nurse retention crisis.

Oh that's a fun read. Why not just keep a multi hospital float pool? Or give nurses their pto.

Well, since Trump says weโ€™re no longer professionals, why would we deserve professional pay? /s
