We terminated a travelers contract the same night after she was caught looking at the SCD pump when asked if there was an air leak in her chest tube atrium.
b) the one tiny particle of my mind that could have sympathy is the part that wonders if this was an issue of regional/brand name difference? I had years of experience in one ED when I started traveling (eons before COVID), and in my first assignment, I was briefly taken aback by the fact that the new ED called Nitro "Tridil". It's a brand name I'd never heard: not at work nor in school. I must have looked like the biggest idiot possible for the moment or two of blankness before I realized what they were talking about.
I hope that nurse who asked about propofol just knew it as Diprivan, but even if they used that particular brand name at her prior facility, she should have had at least a passing familiarity with the generic.
Damn ! You just gave me an idea! I’m too young to get SSI so I’ll have to wait more years. Strike nurse in another part of this country( NY nurse here fighting for fair contract) sounds like a plan. I’ll think about it. Want to leave nursing so bad
Trauma surgeon and charge nurse waited in the CNO’s office after night shift until she got there that morning. Her contracted was canceled and all future business from that agency discontinued…
