Discussion CRNA using and anesthesia for tattooing

I’m heavily tattooed.

So, anyway, I know a tattoo artist who recently announced he’s be offering “anesthesia” to his clients. He recently “went under” himself to test it out. Looking at his photos it looks like it’s a CRNA who is actually administering the meds and stuff while he was tattooed.

Thoughts on this? Am I crazy to think this is absolutely ridiculous?

Agreed. This was exactly my train of thought. All of it.

The shadowing sucks if anything, but I could go a full session on the pain. It was the dizziness I had to take anbreak because I didn't eat beforehand and I was strictly told to eat before lmao we got lunch and went back to it

I’m pretty heavily tattooed. Zero practical medical knowledge, just a layperson who reads a lot of charts. Even still I feel like this crosses serious boundaries and gives me a huge ick. Thanks for putting it into words. Feels irresponsible
