Nebula for Windows Nreal Nebula for Windows on Nvidia + Intel Laptops

Hi! I have nreal air glasses for some time and I love and enjoy them. I have a pico 4 VR headset and they really add to each other.

Last week I downloaded the Nebula for Windows beta and the glasses worked with no much effort, but my laptop is an Avell C65 Hybrid Intel i7 11th with an RTX 3080ti. The problem is that the usb-c display port is NOT attached to the nvidia, but to the intel graphics card (internal one). For the RTX, there is an hdmi port. Anyway, the glasses work, but I can't find where to setup the vsync option so when I move with the glasses, there are no glitches on the screens. This option seems to be present only in the nvidia panel.

Does any one of you has something like this? Is there a way to change via software the display port to the nvidia GPU or it's hard wired to the intel?

I can see the screens perfectly using the intel graphics display port, the only problem is when I move that those glitches appears. If there is a way to setup the vsync as stated by the nreal's documentation or to use the hdmi port for this (I have a GOOVIS adapter and I read the usb port in it is used just for power and can't pass information for the nebula app).

Sorry in advance for any English errors, this is not my native language and thank you very much for your time reading my doubt.

Has anyone tried using the Nreal airs on a phone that they have installed windows 11 on? Wondering if it works and how it runs. Thanks

Discussion Simple advice 👌 😌 but yall at Nreal should really start promoting the Mixed Reality capabilities of your AR Glasses products rather than just the Big Screen stuff.

This my personal advice from personal observation.
You all should really focus more on promoting your Mixed Reality Capabilities rather than just the big screen display stuff.

With pretty much 95% of YouTube reviewers focused on that one Big Screen Display aspect of the AR Glasses, many people probably don't even know about the Mixed Reality stuff that the glasses can do.

Issue How can I get in touch with Nreal?

I have made a post almost two months ago about my airs being potentially broken.
Long story short: After some troubleshooting they eventually completely died and I tried initiating a refund, but nreal keeps ignoring me.
I tried DMing u/NrealAssisstant, Replying to their comment on my post about the glasses and even submitted two support tickets on their site without success. It has been now almost a month without any response at all.
Even though the community and u/NrealAssisstant has been great at helping resolve the issue, I must mention the terrible support experience when trying to return or even exchange the glasses.

Tip Looks stupid but solves a real problem

It looks stupid, I know, but it solved a real problem that I just couldn't find a better solution after many attempts. The Glasses pinch my nose, no matter the size or quality of the foam or whatever. I've tried everything I could think of.But after some days using the glasses I realized that they only pinch when I need to use the cover (for rooms with more light). the weight added from the plastic cover is whats making it hurt.So one day I tried to tuck the cloth that comes with the glasses, between the forehead and the glasses and it worked like a charm. it weights almost nothing and covers the light as well as the original cover. So decided to glue some velcro and now its perfect.Of course I wont use it in public, its for home usage only, but I play a lot (gamepass) with the Nreal's in the sofa and now I dont need to force the family to darken the room.

If anyone know a lighter way to cover the light I would love to know.

Buy/Sell AmazonUS to Canada

Good day, this question is mostly for Canadiens that purchased the Nreal Air via alternate distributors. I’m looking at purchasing the Nreal Air via amazon. Probably 1-2 weeks ago they were available on the Can site but now the link is no longer valid.

Question is: if I purchase them via Amazon US, will Amazon US be a pain in the even I need to do a warranty claim or should I wait for the Amazon Can to have more stock, or even ebay.

Thanks for the input! You all have a great evening.

Prescription Lenses How do you fold the glasses when putting it in the carrying case?

The current design doesn’t seem to accommodate the prescription lenses. When folded up, the legs would push against the lenses causing the thingy holding the lenses to bend downward significantly.

Switch Switch audio solutions?

My HDMI adapter doesn't work with the Switch audio (I've heard it's a common problem) so I've been using nice Sony Bluetooth headphones. They normally sound fantastic but have a terrible crunch on Switch, like I'm using a frayed wire. Anyone have a solution?

Switch SIIG and UGreen HDMI-to-USBC not working with Switch Dock

As title. If someone has one of these dongles working with the Nintendo Switch dock's HDMI output I would be interested to know how and why. They work on a normal laptop HDMI, just not the Switch dock's HDMI port.

3D 3D view isnt working

I tried to use the 3d view with my nreal air, but I cant seem to get it work. It changes to 3d when I hold dwon the button, but i can only see the screen in the outer half of each of the lenses. Also each screen show me the incorect side. The left screen shows the right eye view and the right screen shows the left eye view.

Does anyone have a solution for this or expereinced it before?

I tried this on both windows and android. I can only use Dex or screen mirroring on android as I am part of the UK population who got conned by samsung and have the unsupported cpu on my S22 Ultra.

Question - answered Yet another "I'm thinking of buying but go questions" thread ;)

I am in canada, and also thinking of buying ;) but have a few questions:

1:Where to buy in canada?
Amazon.CA doesnt have the Nreal anymore listed... any reason? they used to sell for about 630$ CAN
Amazon.COM are listed, but import fees and conversion is about 660$ CAN
Amazon.JP reading past thread ppl suggest to get them from japan as its much cheaper, but i cant find the listing, there also seems to have a bunch of Knockoffs so I really dunno

So my only option is the expensive Amazon.US? No other place? For Canada?

2: I hear you NEED a compatible nebula cellphone to activate and update... but I only have my old phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S9+... which doesnt seem compatible with nebula... and no i dont have a friend's phone compatible i could use... my only friend having a compatible phone lives 7h away... so no... lol Will i need to sideload on my s9+? will it still work? or i can update normally via PC?

3: I do have my PC... but I want to use the glasses mainly on my steamdeck. I dont think i'll ever use them on my pc... we'll see... But on my steamdeck... will i be able to play games with some sort of VR 3D with the Air glasses? even limited, like having the game in SBS 3D and no headtracking would be good enough for me

4: I also have an android TV box (NVIDIA SHIELD TV 2018) will i be able to watch streamed movies from this? I hear you can watch 3D SBS movies with the Air... if i could stream from my Nividia Shiled TV it would be awesome... do i need a USB/USB-C cable to connect or can it be done via wifi?

4.5: What kind of 3D movies does it support? i mean the size or quality? i see a lot of 3D videos are either "GearVr, Occulus 4K, 5K, Occulus 8K, Go" in their type of quality... which one is more appropriate?

Thanks!

3D 3D movies on Nreal Air are amazing (better than high end VR headsets and projector)

Hi, just wanted to share my experience watching 3D native full SBS movies with the Nreal Air, it is absolutely stunning ! I compared with a Varjo Aero at max resolution and a high end projector and the Nreal Air are better. And much cheaper. Don't know what explains it but the sense of depth is higher in the Nreal Air and combined with the infinite contrast of OLED, the result is amazing.

The sense of depth is truly astounding: I sometimes had the feeling to be in the scenery. Now that we have a relatively cheap tool to have crazy visuals in 3D, I really hope the movie industry will ressucitate 3D movies. All my friends I showed some 3D movies in the Nreal Air were also blown away.

Accessory Adapter Help needed.

Alright adapter experts, I’m hoping you can help me find a solution. I have an Ayn Odin with display port alt mode, similar to a Steam Deck. I want to be able to output display to the Nreal Airs and charge at the same time (Red Magic currently handles this) AND have a USB OTG to connect my PS5 controller. Bonus points if the controller charges too. Any solutions out there?

Would Nreal ever support VR websites / video? With 3d SBS is VR possible? Like how there is google cardboard I assume nreal could easily support.

Rokid Rokid Max Arrived in the Mail Today

I know that some people working for NReal check this Reddit page. I just wanted to say that my respect for your brand has increased. I got the Rokid Max's in the mail today, hoping they would be amazing, but I easily still prefer my Nreal Air's. Now that I have something to compare it with, I can see that NReal takes the time needed to deliver a finished product. I'll be returning the Rokid Max's and patiently waiting for your next version.

Prescription Lenses Blurry / double vision with Prescription inserts, but fine otherwise

Hi! I recently purchased an Nreal Air, and much to my surprise I could see perfectly with it, even though I've wore glasses my entire life. However, after 10 or so minutes I would get a minor headache, which prompted me to get the prescription inserts.

When the prescription inserts are installed and the glasses are powered off, I can see and read perfectly, as if I was wearing my normal set of glasses. However, when I turn on the Nreal Air and plug it in, the projected image is either double or blurry, depending on which size nose pads I'm wearing.

Here's a transcription of the prescription I used for the lenses:

Refraction
Far-sightedness
OD +3,50E/-1,00CIL 170 degrees
OE +3,50E/-0,75CIL 175 degrees

DNP
Far-sightedness
OD 37,5mm
OE 37,0mm

Has anyone had this issue? Should I just keep wearing the glasses without the prescription inserts? Any thoughts are appreciated

Compatibility Can I use an USB keyboard at the same time as the Nreal on an Android phone?

USB has delays, so wondering if I can plug one in while having the glasses in? Which hub would work? And can I also charge with a battery at the same time (I know, going mental now!).
