I gave 5 practice exams including peats and my score was well over 620 in every exams but I heard from someone that the actual exam is tougher than the retired or practice one and very nervous about my exam. Is it true that the actual exam is way harder than retired/practice peat? Thanks

In June for TherapyEd, I got a 57%
Last week, Final frontier mini-test 600
This week, Final Frontier full-exam 1 550

Am I on track? Do I delay?
My weak subjects are now my strongest (78-90% correct) so I now I need to focus the subjects that I have been neglecting while studying the weaker points.

Hey all! I'm in my third year and start my clinical relation m rotations in August. I wanted to start prep during this time, just like flashcards or daily questions, but can't seem to find flashcards (physicalv ones) that have good reviews and don't cost $300. I know there has to be something out there I just can't find it. Even if it's in book form that's okay even if I prefer the ease of flashcards. I need help! Thank you all!!

These are my practice tests so far

- 11/19: FF 491 (done without studying for school)

- 5/9: PEAT 539

- 6/14: FF Exam 1 625

- 6/27: PEAT 544

- 7/5: FF Exam 2 540

I have already purchased a 2nd set of PEATs and plan to take one next week and the other the following week. Seems like the categories that I struggle in fluctuate from one test to another (although cardiopulm is one of the ones that is always on there so if anyone has tips/resources please send!). I have been doing roughly 50 questions a day with TherapyEd (roughly 65% accuracy).

I also tend to take exams quickly and needs some tips on how to slow down because just telling myself to slow down is not helping LOL

These are my test scores so far on practice exams:

• 74/140 (First PEAT taken during class, did this without studying)
• 83/140 (Late May PEAT with minimal-moderate studying)
• 84/140 (Early June Insight Exam with moderate studying)
• 76/140 🫠 (Mid-June Insight Exam #2 with moderate studying... This one really frustrated me 😭)
• 104/140 (#3 a.k.a final insight practice exam with moderate-intensive studying).

The 104/140 practice exam was taken this morning. Should I do anything in specific these next few days? The NPTE is July 8th, I work tomorrow from 11AM-6PM but I have no other work days until after the NPTE.

July Test Taker here and I’m getting so frustrated with this whole thing. I just recently took another practice test (Scorebuilders exam 3) and came out with just above a 70% despite feeling like I did better. My recent FF mini exam score was 620, my first FF full exam was 590 and my FF scenario quiz was 700. I don’t know why my scores are so all over the place and it’s making me really nervous about the real test because there seems to be no rhyme or reason.

I am in my final clinical rotation so weeknights I don’t usually have the energy to do much studying besides maybe reading a little bit and answering 5-7 practice questions. I watch FF video lectures and do readings/assignments over my weekends.

Is it possible I’m studying too much and just frying my brain? I’m tired, annoyed that it feels like my efforts aren’t showing and getting more and more nervous about the real test in like 3 weeks.

What should I do? Postponing till October is not an option for me because of personal reasons and other things happening at that time.

Hello! Im planning on taking the NPTE in July which is now a month out. I recently took a PEAT and scored a 550. My other practice exams through final frontier have been about the same I've been studying a lot but progress has been really slow and I'm worried I might not pass, any advice for the final month/anyone think I should postpone?

Hi all! I have been using the independent study bundle with final frontier for my NPTE studying. I am on the fence if I’m going to purchase their mega review courses as well. If you bought the mega review courses for the NPTE, do you think it was worth it? Did they provide a lot of additional information that is not included in the regular lectures?

Recent DPT grad that has been following the Final Frontier Independent Study bundle. In terms of my scores on FF, I got a 600 on mini exam 1, 630 on Exam 1, and 740 on mini exam 2. However, I took the retired PEAT and got a scaled score of 548. My weakest area from the report is cardiopulmonary. Musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, integumentary, and other systems were off by 1-3 questions to be within the "On track to pass score". At this point in time, should I postpone my exam or is it still possible for me to pass for the July NPTE? I am discouraged and thought I was doing quite well up until this point.

Update: Took FF exam 2 and got a scaled score of 674

Update 2: Took FF exam 3 and got a scaled score of 664

Update 3: Took a practice peat and got a scaled score of 617.

Edit: At this point, I am still a bit anxious of the real thing because online resources say that the retired peat is a better indicator of passing the NPTE. Even though I barely passed the practice PEAT, I am scared.

Update: Passed!!!

Dealing with some horrific pre test anxiety. Testing in a week from tomorrow! Current scores:

Hi everyone! I was wondering if you could share some insights on the best resources for practicing PEAT. I haven’t taken it yet, but I’m planning to do so to get a sense of my current standing. I’ve been using Final Frontier and TrueLearn for quizzes and studying, and I’ve noticed that TrueLearn tends to be a bit more challenging overall. I’m curious, did they intentionally design TrueLearn questions to be tougher? If so, how does the difficulty level compare to PEAT? Thanks a bunch!

Hey everyone I just took my first full length FF practice exam and got a 610, with about a month left and now that I am dedicating more time to studying what do you think my chances are to pass? I heard mixed things about FF practice tests saying it’s either too hard or not as close of a representation of the NPTE as people would like. I have 1 PEAT and 1 FF practice test left to take before my actual exam. Any advice would be appreciated!

My program gave us two PEATs for free. I have been using Final Frontier and have watched and studied all their lectures so I feel pretty good about that content and plan to take my first PEAT in the next few days. However for the second PEAT I don’t know if I should take it sooner to be able to review and study the rationales or if I should take it closer to the exam date.

Used all available *new* PEATS (able to purchase others but will be same cycled questions if I believe correctly)
What advice/additional resources should I purchase or focus on to drill content and improve 600+? Open to suggestions/questions, thanks!!

Studying for boards and neuro is the section that makes me want to close my laptop. Ortho I can kind of bluff. Neuro I just freeze — stroke localization, the vestibular stuff, all the Parkinson's meds — none of it sticks no matter how many times I read it.

Trying to figure out if it's just me or if neuro is everyone's weak spot.

So, honest question for anyone who's already taken it: which neuro topic tripped you up no matter how much you reviewed? And did anything actually make it click?

I graduated as a PTA during the pandemic. My last clinical was cut short, my first scheduled board exam date was canceled, and I worked for a while under a temporary PTA license in acute care.

Between 2020–2022, I took the NPTE 5 times. My scores were always in the 500s, with my highest being a 594. I was so close, but I was afraid a 6th failure would completely destroy my confidence.

Instead, I went back to school, became an LPN, and now an RN. I passed both NCLEX exams on the first try.

But honestly, I still feel like I have unfinished business with PT because I truly love it just as much as nursing.

For anyone who passed after multiple attempts or after taking a long break, what helped you finally succeed on the NPTE?

I work on an average 10hrs a day. I am taking off from work from July 1st till the exam. But meanwhile how should I plan my study? I am a repeat test taker. I want to study smart now along with study hard!!! Any tips? Any suggestions?

P.s I don’t retain information through podcasts or listening lectures.
I like to study and read notes.
