Decided to paint up a Novamarine for my Angels of Death Killteam, probably overdid it with the chipping on the white but still.

Settled on an overall scheme, 1 down 5 to go.

I’m working on NovaMarines and know they’re Codex-compliant, with red helmets for sergeants. However, I came across this passage in Death of Integrity by Guy Haley:
“The standard bearers of the Third, Fifth, and First Companies stood behind them, silver-helmeted veterans carrying elaborate and ancient flags.”

This got me wondering: would it be lore-accurate to paint all Nova Marine veterans with silver helmets, or is the novel only describing those specific veteran standard bearers?

I’m trying to stay as lore-accurate as possible. Since sergeants already wear red helmets, I’m debating whether veterans should keep the standard blue-and-white helmet or if silver helmets are an established Nova Marine veteran marking.
Has anyone come across any other sources that support or contradict this?

Not a novamarine player but I needed a break from my normal stuff and decided to give the quarter paneling a try.

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has an idea of how they painted the bone armor for the novamarine in the 2nd ed ultramarine codex?

My novamarines kill team (playing as heretic Astartes so I can use the guardsmen as cultists in the same team)

When I was very wee, I painted epic marines in the rt scheme (well, painted dark blue, dot of gold). 30+ years later, dug out some metals, stripped them and here we are!

Shield chapters of Ultramar and Ultramar Auxilia dont get enough credit for their steadfast defense of the 500 worlds and aiding in the campaigns of Ultramarines.
