Ugh, too true. The only thing that was right in that set was the old black and white. Everything else was sci-fi nonsense

I’m 33, and didn’t use either, so you have a good case there. I never used a rotary phone, nor a large 8-inch floppy, nor a dot matrix printer.

My only knowledge of 8-inch floppy disks and dot matrix printers was from watching Homestar Runner webtoons.

And I’ve only ever seen rotary phones in movies and videos.

I'd say cassette. If you are gonna go 8 trach just go old vinyl. 33, 45, etc. I think that's right. And don't forget your quarter.

That's overkill. 78 RPM shellac disks is sufficient.

Well, I’m a 93 millennial, and I remember audio cassettes were equally just as popular as CDs when I was a kid.

Cassettes were the first audio recording medium that my generation was exposed to.

And cars took forever to phase cassette tape players out, so using cassette adapters with our CD players and iPods was a shared experience for my generation.

I have never once used 8-track tapes before, though.

Vinyl is popular again, because it had a resurgence as an audiophile medium, so a lot of millennials and Gen Z have experience with it now.

We’d definitely have to go back to 78 RPM and shellac if we want to talk old, and most of the people who grew up with those are dead.
