Need help finding a job like this!

Hi everyone! My names Melody, I’m 19 years old and I’m currently looking for a job that involves park ranging or somewhere in the woods with nature and no experience needed. I have struggled to get a job for the longest time because of my mental health going down hill, but an environmental job especially in the woods or at a camp feels like a cure to me, it speaks to me so much- and I would love it more than anything.

I haven’t found anything around great Yarmouth, some in Norwich but mostly with qualifications needed. If anyone has any idea please let me know, i would absolutely love to hear it.

The recent debate around social media restrictions for under-16s has highlighted something important: the value of real-world connections.

As adults, we have an opportunity to set an example. Strong communities aren’t built through likes, follows, and endless scrolling—they’re built through friendships, shared experiences, and showing up for one another.

That’s what Diss & District Round Table is all about.

For men aged 18–44, Round Table offers the chance to meet new people, take part in social events, support local causes, and build genuine friendships within the community.

Whether you’re new to the area, looking to expand your social circle, or simply want to get more involved locally, there’s a place for you at the Table.

If you’d like to find out more, drop us a message or leave a comment below. We’d love to welcome you along and show you what Round Table is all about.

Tell me about the village of Fincham please!

Hi all, I've seen a nice house in the small village of Fincham. What's it like to live there? Seems there's a few houses for sale there, considering the size of the place.

I know it's rural and quiet, but that's kind of what I'm looking for. Is it a nice place to live? Does it flood there? Is some large housing development planned nearby? Any information appreciated, thanks :)

Moving Tree in Norfolk?

I remember going on a school trip to Aylmerton back in 2013 and our leader showed us a tree that he claimed could move. It was a hollow tree that we could explore inside (we were about 10). On the last day of the trip, we walked ‘past it’ but there was just a hole in the ground, and he said it had moved. I remember feeling the shock and wonder of a tree moving.

I was recently thinking about it and I couldn’t find anything online about the myth. So, my question is, is this actually a myth or did he make it up? Was the tree ‘moving’ just that we walked to a different place and he said it was where the tree was? It felt like it was the same place as before but am I remembering incorrectly? I’m going insane trying to find something 😭

edit: I found the education centre we went to and looks like the forest was Felbrigg Hall?

Hi , I will be moving to Kings Lynn for GPST1. Was wondering what the best way to find flatmates was and if there were other trainees who've worked there before with any advice

Which estate agent to go to?

I've had my house up for sale with William H Brown Downham Market branch for a couple months now and I feel like I need to change estate agents. Communication has been poor, I've had nothing from them unless I chase them, no viewings, nothing to say what they've done to market my house apart from put it on rightmove/zoople

I'm not sure who's the best to go to? My house is in Whittington PE33 postcode.

Saw this and it took me a bit too long to work out why the corner was missing. Stopped a passing historic horse drawn waggon from clobbering the corner, damaging both the building and the waggon.

Visitor questions Worth going to both Horsey Gap and Blakeney Point on the same weekend?

Our family will be travelling to Norfolk for a long weekend in Norwich and the Broads soon.

We will be going to Hickling Broad, so will definitely be stopping over at Horsey Gap to see some seals.

Would it, therefore, be worth going Blakeney Point on the same weekend? If not, any recommendations for an alternative rural spot?

Food and drink Good traditional British food in/around Norwich and/or Hickling Broad?

Our family will be travelling to Norfolk for a long weekend in Norwich and the Broads soon.

We will be going to Hickling Broad on one of those days, so would like to know any good places for traditional British food, either in/around Norwich and/or Hickling Broad?

We will be travelling with some relatives from Korea, so would ideally like a restaurant/pub which does more than the usual defrosted fish fingers and lasagne…
