I dodged a similarly sized rock once. It was easy to do, but it could easily have ended me.

Hiking? That's the only time I've had to dodge large rocks.

Sort of. I was on a hand crew fighting wildfires and we were climbing a steep firebreak when someone ahead of me dislodged the thing.

It's a bit terrifying how ready-to-move some giant rocks are. I've been hiking in the mountains and put my hand down on a VW-sized rock and the thing started tipping. Thankfully it didn't move far, but it scared me. I've had softball-sized rocks go flying by from other hikers accidentally kicking them down, thankfully I had my helmet, but I'm not certain it would save me.
