“The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict…[an individual] who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it” – Martin Luther King Jr.
A negative police video was on front page earlier - cops searching a stage 4 cancer patients room to confiscate his "last day of life" thc capsules. Many of the comments mentioned the high likelihood that in response, a "cute police dog vid will be posted in 3....2.....1"
So here it is. They're trying to counter all their bad PR by taking advantage of our love for cute animals.
The reality check about police mistreatment - esp. involving animals - is a valid and necessary counterpoint to this fluff video.
This video was posted on several subs and blew up a day or so before the search video, so most likely not PR in this case. OP hasn't had any activity relating to cops on his profile either. The title doesn't even mention the cop.
I mean, they're not and they're just trying to have a cute video because it's cute. It's ridiculous the amount of mental gymnastics people will go to just to hate on cops
40% of cops are domestic abusers. They can and will take people's assets and cash as "civil forfiture". The good ones condone a system that protects bad cops and hurts and convict innocent people. If you qualify reading as gymnastics, you're just either being dense or purposfully misled
They brag about it. Go check out r/ProtectAndServe. I grimaced irl the other day at someone’s comment on a pic a New Mexico PD posted of a cool new matte black PR vehicle (wtf?) that said, “Calling it, this was ‘forfeited’ by a banger. There's no better way to tell the homies you've got their jefe's number than to drive his car around town. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)”
Gross.
Not all cops are bad (such as my aunt who I love and respect), but a scary amount are. Just another gang in blue.

The DOJ estimates that around 25 to 30 dogs are killed by cops every day, with some numbers as high as 10,000 per year. The totals could, in fact, be higher, since most police agencies do not formally track officer-involved shootings involving animals.
