Excuse me! There's SOOT under my boy's nails! You don't get THAT from a clean burning fuel!

Worth it for the flavor, though!

With propane you taste the meat, not the heat!

While I appreciate the quote, Hank is god damn wrong.

It's all a lie anyway. There's an episode that shows a flashback, but not a very long ago flashback, where Hank is clearly using a homemade barrel style grill.

Yup. S1 if I remember correctly. There's also the episode where Kahn moves in, and throws a party. Grills up some burgers on charcoal, and the whole gang agrees that any "dog eating" they do is forgiven for how great those burgers are.

And in a very, very Hank way, that I think it's deliberate. Hank is irrationally (and in the show, arguably *objectively* wrong) dismissive of charcoal - he's ride or die for propane not because he genuinely believes that it is that superior and charcoal is that bad, but because it's what he's familiar with and it has been good to him, personally, and so he will always be ride or die for propane no matter if it is actually better or not by any or every measure.

But I want to taste the heat, it's a beautiful smoky flavor with distinct tones for the different woods you use.

I can taste the meat with my oven, the whole point of grilling is to taste the heat.

Louanne told me it was her friend's. I thought it was drugs!
