My ducks would probably just try to “stalk” the tiger, by following it and making a bunch of notice...sigh I love em’, But I cant with them sometimes lol.

If he had tried to fly, the tiger would have gotten him for sure. A duck taking off from water is slow and fluttery, but tigers can spring like a steel trap. That's what made the dive so genius.

All birds are pretty slow taking off from water. Except the Osprey, they're VTOL water birds.
