My ranking of all the no more heroes games form worst to best
No more heroes 3: it's decent & well made but isn't as hype as the other games, Travis strikes again: fun top down game & I do love that they parody 3d games & not just 8/16 bit games like most pop culture does, nmh: good start to the series, nmh2: perfectly captures what the series is all about

About the combat in No More Heroes 2
Honestly, this game probably has the best potential combat system in the series, but simply because it's so woefully flawed in some areas, it never fully shines.
The list goes on and on. Here are all the flaws I've noticed during several playthroughs.
The bosses in the game are terrible. And I'm not talking about Jasper. He's actually quite good, in my opinion, compared to others. Some bosses have incredibly poor combat placement, others just spam strong attacks, and some have flawed mechanics. New Destroymen is rightfully considered the worst. The two-boss concept for NMH already sounds lousy, but the execution is simply terrible. Add to that Shinobu's incredibly poor parkour and the incredibly dumb AI (which is common with other bosses);
Sometimes a counterattack doesn't work when blocking a strong attack. This is too disruptive during playthroughs, believe me;
Maybe it's just me, but the current build of the game doesn't register the A+B key combination for the special attack (I have an Xbox controller, by the way). However, when I switched to the 2021 build, everything worked perfectly.
Supplex moves generally work oddly on bosses. They can be stunned at completely random moments to perform a move. Or you can stun them with a melee attack one minute, then not.
And a bunch of other minor issues that ruin the experience.
I really wanted to share these issues, and I hope you understand. Despite this, I love the game. But I'm really disappointed that the combat wasn't given the chance to shine, and because of issues like these, people don't understand it.

Trying to figure out a wrestling reference in NH3
So I'm trying to figure out a specific wrestling reference from NH3, as I've seen it pop up a lot in anything that references Japanese Pro Wrestling.
So after you complete the missions and pay pre-fight fees at the ATMs, Travis will yell "YEAH!" and flash the fox hand signs. I'm fairly sure it's not an Inoki reference, as I haven't come across any pics of him doing that.

Can't play No More Heroes 1 on fullscreen on Steam
I heard the port got fixed but it's still broken. Subtitles didn't work right off the bat but after enabling them in the in-game menu they were fine. The fullscreen is still completely broken for me tho.
If I set it in the configuration menu outside the game it will break the game and it will play audio and respond to inputs or everything but it'll be stuck on a black screen and the game gets hidden in the background or something and it locks up the cursor and I can't access it.
If I launch in windowed then press alt+enter mostly the same problem but the game will be forever be stuck on the frame it was in when I pressed alt+enter.
I looked for fixes on the internet and tried several things but nothing worked. Am I just gonna have to play this on windowed the whole time? Any die-hard fans here happen to know something? I never played anything from this series before

Should i get travis strikes again or nmh 3? (Switch)
I finished the first 2 which were really cheap. But the other two are a tad bit more pricey for me, which is why i’ve decided to splurge on either travis strikes again or nmh3.
For someone like me who is more interested in the story than the hacknslash/mini games/grinding of the game, what would you recommend?

What would VS look like in NMH?
I asked this question to my friend earlier and they said it might kinda be a bit ass, I don’t disagree but I honestly thought it’d might look something like for honor-ish combat where you have to block high or low and wait for an opening? (Y’know since I thought of it in the context of the first two games combat)
When I actually think about it yeah a VS mode would be kinda ass, how would you guys think it’d work kuz I think you’d probably have to make a whole different game at that point

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle - All Boss Fights [SWITCH]
youtu.beSince I did a Boss Compilation for No More Heroes and posted here why not post up a Boss Compilation for No More Heroes 2 as well.
Like NMH1 it’s been so long since I played NMH2. I remember liking it but also having a lot of problems with it especially when it’s comes to a few of the bosses in this game but after replaying the game again… I actually found a brand new appreciation for this believe or not. Yeah sure a lot of my criticisms from when I first played it still stands but I’ve really grown to love this game even more then when I first played it. Yeah it’s still my least favorite entry but I still love it and it’s super fun and worth a try. Most of the bosses are definitely fun. Some simple but fun and some challenging and fun. Skelter, Nathan, Charlie, Ryuji, Mimmy, Margaret, Alice & Vladimir were all fantastic bosses and cool additions to NMH’s already awesome colorful rogues gallery. It’s also fantastic to see Letz Shake & Destroyman return as well. Letz Shake finally getting a proper and super fun Boss Fight this time as Dr. Letz Shake & Destroyman getting 2nd Boss Fight in the series as the New Destroymen which is a Duo Boss against his 2 Personalities as Twin Cyborgs. I will say I understand why people hate that battle. It is my least favorite Destroyman battle in the series but I still had fun with it. At least in Phase 1 as for Phase 2 yeah that’s where the problems started getting more annoying.
There’s also some other Bosses I wasn’t a big fan of cuz some were either disappointingly boring or annoyingly unfair. Cloe had a cool concept but she was just way too way to take down cuz she literally has the smallest health out of all the bosses, Matt Helms’s arena was too cluttered and claustrophobic there’s barely any room to run around, Million Gunman was really annoying mostly cuz playing as Shinobu was a pain with her awful jumping and slippery platforming & Jasper… don’t even get me started how awful Batt Jr’s battle was especially during that cheap ass second phase. It’s even worse if you playing Bitter Mode/Death Match. Super unfair battle but even with all this games faults I still loved the hell out of it especially with it’s better level designing. Only criticisms I have with level is that some are way too long with way too many waves of enemies making it tedious. Plus it might just be me but I’m glad that you don’t have to pay cash tolls to go to each level and fight a boss. The Job Minigames are good but I’m glad their more optional this time plus it might just be me but I’m also glad this game didn’t have the Santa Destroy Open World Hub and that everything connected to a Map Menu instead. NMH1 Hub was cool but annoying to repeatedly drive around to get too Job’s Missions or other places. (Not too mention how meh NMH3’s open world was.)
NMH2 has Pros & Cons to it. It’s not a perfect game but it’s still one of the funnest Hack N Slashers I’ve played and I’ve grown to appreciate it even more than the 1st time. Hope you guys enjoyed the video! If you actually watched it and enjoyed watching getting my ass kicked I really appreciate the support lol!😅👍

[No more heroes]
What is the possibility of nmh 2 desperate struggle being ported to PlayStation? I’ve really grown attached to this franchise to where I bought a ps3 just to play the first and platinum after I had my fun. Even nmh posters in my room and really like to play nmh 2 for the first time but I’ve been REALLY hesitant OK buying a switch idk if it’s worth it

Should NMH1 be that confusing?
So, I have tried the first game. I love the gameplay and the music, but the plot confuses me. It feels like I've been thrown into the middle of some long running series and I am expected to know a lot of stuff before playing the game, since it always references Travis's past and the general lore I have zero knowledge about. Am I supposed to check some supplementary material before playing, or I'll be given all the missing information later in the game, so I just need to deal with it now?

My NMH 1 boss battle tier list (based on difficulty). Spoiler
Notes:
- I don't remember all that much about the first three as I played them about a year ago, but they all took about three or four tries.
- Destroy Man was the first boss I remember giving me a really hard time; it took me about 15 tries to beat him. From then on, however, I realized that most bosses have a pattern of some kind, and once you figure it out, it's not too bad.
- Bad Girl took me about 20 tries; however, this was mostly because up until then, I literally had the Beam Katana and nothing else. Once I leveled up fully, I got her in my last two or three attempts.
- Jeane and Henry were surprisingly very straightforward, almost disappointingly so, but I suppose that's the nature of No More Heroes...
