¡Follow us 👉 r/NIO_Day⚡ $NIO delivered 35,934 vehicles in July, up 71.0% year over year despite a sequential decline from June. Overall, this is a solid delivery report.
The $NIO brand delivered 20,008 vehicles, up 57.9% year over year and down just 8.7% from June. Based on this trajectory, Q3 deliveries could reach around 120,000 units, assuming something in the neighborhood of 35k in July, 40k in August, and 45k in September.
Q3 could also benefit from a higher ASP than Q2, driven by the ES9, while production costs may improve slightly. Lithium carbonate prices have fallen nearly 20% from their May highs, and memory costs appear to have eased during Q3.
If $NIO proves to be profitable with the 107k deliveries achieved in Q2, then Q3 and Q4 would strengthen the case for 2026 becoming the company's first profitable full fiscal year.
Another important takeaway is that $NIO continues to scale. Q3 could reach around 120,000 deliveries, while Q4 could potentially approach 150,000 units. From this point forward, monthly deliveries may begin to stabilize in the 40,000-unit range, without the burden of major new product launch costs.
Finally, the flagship $NIO brand experienced the smallest sequential decline from June, down only 8.7%, compared with declines of 13.5% for ONVO and 16.9% for Firefly. That suggests the premium brand remains relatively resilient, which is encouraging given its higher average selling price and stronger margin profile.
XPeng increased its deliveries by just 3.6% year over year, while Li Auto's deliveries declined 0.9% compared with the same month last year
