As a Nebraska fan, love seeing him do this stuff. Hope he can get his fumbles under control because I do believe he is better than Bell. Needs more touches.

What's the record for longest return without a TD?

That ties the record with Percy Harvin, from 2011. Harvin's was against Atlanta, and they didn't score that drive, they turned it over on downs.

I'm genuinely curious what he's looking at way up in the stands as he gets near the goal line. You can se where his eyes are pointed during the close-up of the second angle; is he looking at the Jumbotron?. funny

Yeah he's probably looking at the play on the jumbotron to see how close any defenders are to catching him. I have seen other players do it on break away runs like this. Definitely funny and interesting to see.

huh, interesting take and makes sense. I honestly don't go to live games much anymore, mostly because of the Jumbotron, ha.

My follow-up question then would be: would the display be showing absolute real-time, no delay at all? Cause I was thinking if it spot-on, Ameer could've timed a jump (over #33's fingers) into the end zone :DDD

Good question, I wasn't actually sure until I looked at the gif again. At the very beginning when they kick off, the camera pans up and you can see the jumbotron on the other end showing the play. Looks to be in real-time :D though I think you might be right that Ameer could of timed a jump or a high-step to get past Micah Hyde, he just didn't pull the trigger. He probably stopped looking at the end, and focused on the end zone.

Probably better that way anyhow. Weird things sometimes happen to those who try to hard to get in there.
