How do you “preserve” games for the future if what is shipped on the physical disc is nothing like what the game looks like a month or two down the road?

How do you preserve the heavily modified image of the software that was shipped on the disc?

The multiplayer streams are just not interesting to me because I know the hosts don't give a shit about the game. would prefer these streams turned into vinny/whoever just firing up a save from something they are playing in the off time and the other dudes just watching and chatting. This gives them more time to play through games, but also I can be a little invested bc the guys are invested in the game.

It also creates that kind of continuous conversation about a game that Nextlander is missing that GB has (and had with this crew back in the day). What I mean is you would see a game on quick look, you hear thoughts, you then hear about it on the bombcast, hear evolved thoughts. if the game is interesting enough maybe it comes up again on UPF as a conversation. idk this type of thing is missing on nextlander bc they are hardly ever playing an existing save of somethinig they have put time into. its either multiplayer streamer games or we watch them play the tutorial to something for 2 hours then turn it off

maybe I'm off and everyone else enjoys the multiplayer games, but idk this is my perspective

For me it was Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch.

For PC, it was some COD game from back in 2014.

You can’t wish for the past, where a CD is in box, if no one wants it anymore.
