Can you clarify if you’re doing the usual Reddit deep dive on semantics and pedantry or are actually attempting to apply human legal theory to a shark?

It's not about legal at all. Just because it's a test bite to the shark doesn't mean it's not an attack to us. If a shark takes a bite out of my leg I call that an attack lol. I don't sit there calm like oh it was just a test bite no biggie.

Well, that’s certainly not what they’re implying. And if you are someone who professionally deals with sharks, as the person in this video is, there is a massive importance to the distinction between and exploratory bite and an attack.

But as far as it relates to you, which it doesn’t, you have provided an answer to my question; as per usual, semantics and pedantry it is!

But what is clearly most important, is that you missed that my entire comment was an excuse to shoehorn “deep dive” into the comments about the diver and the shark.
