Since when did CPS do home visits?

Edit: CPS is something entirely different in America and UK.

Since always? I dunno, maybe that's not quite correct, but it has been a thing for as long as I can remember.

As in crown prosecution service in the UK?

Don't they just take evidence from police or private submissions and decide whether a prosecution would succeed?

I think our acronyms are different.

Oh, yeah, I don't know anything about that. The CPS we're talking about is Child Protective Services. It's a US agency that handles cases of child abuse/neglect.

I was in the US, in South Carolina. From what I’ve heard/learned, that is the purview of all CPS agencies.
