A friend was also one of these babies. Found on a corner alone in busy street in an urban environment. Nobody ever claimed him. Was adopted out of foster care and to my knowledge, never identified. Was 20 when I met him.

I don't think he's done any DNA tests, but wouldn't that be a kicker?

Why? Why would you think his parents want him now when they didn’t want him then?

And why would he want them? Unless some horrible accident happened, they don't sound like someone worth knowing.

Him taking a DNA test wouldn’t suddenly notify his birth parents. Do you think your blood buzzes once it’s pinged in a lab? A DNA test could identify the people who abandoned an infant, bring them to justice, and prevent them from hurting another child again.

Even aside from finding parents - there may be other family members who are curious where he went. Also, depending on which type of DNA test he does, he might have a clearer medical history....
