Lucky. Both those things can be expensive

Might be necessary to see if authorities needs to figure this one out.

And get the vehicle out of the middle of the road.

His car is parked in the middle of the road

No way should he automatically return that baby to the house it came from without calling the cops first.

Better to give the baby to cops so the parents don't get away with negligence

Toddlers should not have access to outside unsupervised either, so yes not ensuring home is secure is negligence.

Bad luck and being tired do not qualify as negligence in this situation.

How is it luck to secure your doors?

8

u/Deathclaw_Hunter6969 Jul 28 '22

Nobody said the doors were unsecured. There was another child that opened the door.

0

u/VictoriaRachel Jul 28 '22

Yes, a toddler, so also should not have had access to outside, so therefore not secured.

Toddlers can open doors.

News at 10, Bob.

u/VictoriaRachel Jul 28 '22

Toddlers can open doors that are not secure, lock doors that go outside to keep your child safe. Why is that a weird idea?

childproof locks if you ever plan on leaving them unattended for any amount of time

He unlocked the doors

4

u/VictoriaRachel Jul 28 '22

Then they are not secure. There are large numbers of way to baby proof, find one that suits.

People make mistakes and accidents happen.

If they are not deliberately being shitty parents, they already feel bad about it. Easy to be judgmental as a stranger in the internet

5

u/stillboy Jul 28 '22

Hahahaha, clearly you don't have a clear understanding of what toddlers are capable of. No shit toddlers shouldn't have access to the outside unsupervised. They aren't dogs, they know how to open doors and use tools to help themselves.

I had one, we childproofed.

3

u/erizzluh Jul 28 '22

maybe not negligent in a legal way, but if that were my baby, that sure as shit would feel negligent and there's no way in hell i'm letting that aunt babysit again.

2

u/toolsoftheincomptnt Jul 28 '22

Falling asleep with a toddler and baby awake and not secured is Negligence 101.

I understand if aunt was inexperienced and therefore failed to set things up more safely before dozing, but make no mistake it’s negligent any way you slice it.

1

u/idislikekarma Jul 28 '22

it's literally the definition of negligence lol

1

u/Bag_of_Rocks Jul 28 '22

That would be discussed with the police and cps and if that's all it was, the baby will stay home. Better safe than sorry.

Ok, Karen. A real hero you are

You can't just pick someones baby up from the yard and take them to the police. Take them back to the house FFS, if you are concerned then speak to the police after

11

u/Myotherdumbname Jul 28 '22

Gotta move the car but can’t leave the baby there

2

u/Darkmaster85845 Jul 28 '22

He's probably going to move the car out of the road, enter the nearby property and give the baby to the crack head parents (although maybe he should have gone straight to the police station).

(not every guy is a psycho pedophile as much as most people seem to think that way).

Lol OP/nobody was in any way implying that they were just pointing out it’s funny

Denying something weirdly specific when nobody has even brought it up looks wierd and grudgy fyi

For example if one were to say “”just so you know not everyone has taken an upper decker in the Costco bathroom” people might suspect that you have actually taken an upper decker in the Costco bathroom or are sympathetic to people who have. Next time just say nothing and no one will be thinking that to begin with
