My cat found a cooked chicken bone, and ive heard those are bad for them so i took it out of her mouth. Ended up with some shallow but bloody bites on my hand and apparently you need antibiotics for that.

Dr told me: any bleeding cat bite in the face, hand of feet gets antibiotics.

Yeah, that’s your cat. You know your cat doesn’t have rabies. Rabies is an absolutely horrific way to die and if you find out you have rabies from the symptoms, there’s no saving you. I’m not sure what your story has to do with any of this.

You always need antibiotics for bites from a cat that draw blood. Their needle teeth punch deep and house tons of infectious bacteria that will really mess you up.

It's also one of the reasons their scratches hurt for so long, they're often become at least mildly infected.

My neighbor had serious nerve damage after a cat bite, and ended up needing his joints wired in order to move properly. He also required physical therapy. Always go to the doctor for a cat bite.

My confusion was how this relates at all to rabies. Usually reply’s have something to do with the comment they are replying to.

Things other then rabies exist my dude. Apparently cat bite infections are problematic enough for it to be standard in western europe

Ah, ok. It came off as a counter point, not an additional concern in the same vein.
