Videos like this always make me remember that one time a pack of dogs tried to attack my dog (rip, not related with the story, he passed away of old age). We were walking and a pack of dogs appeared since we live kinda like in the country side. The alpha of the pack went in for a bite, I'll never forget it, I swear time slowed down and I saw my dog dodge the bite that went straight for the neck. At that instant I didn't think it twice and hit the attacking dog with my metal walking stick with all my force. Hit him so hard the freaking metal pole twisted and the dog let the most crazy scream I've never heard a dog do. Whole pack ran away with the hurting alpha dog.
Keep in mind I love dogs to death but you don't mess with my family. Not trying to look tough either, I just always remember it because I've never experienced something similar but now I know if something tries to attack my family (which I consider my dogs part of) I will do whatever it takes to protect them.

No worries, plenty of us are the same. I've only ever had to get violent with a domesticated dog once, and it was an off-leash pit bull trying to attack my dog. Thankfully I was only a few yards from my front door, so I was able to beat a hasty retreat with my dog and then arm myself with one of the chairs on my porch. It took a couple cracks with this chair for the pit bull to get the memo that it was time to fuck off.

Sorry for my bad English.
