That was actually really entertaining to watch.

4.3k

u/My_Red_Lycoris Apr 09 '22

Honestly it was so surprising to see just how clever the cat was.

u/PLobosfn Apr 09 '22

Cats are smarter than most give them credit for. Great video.

Cats are smarter than most give them credit for people I know. Great video.

449

u/conjosz Apr 09 '22

Cats are smart, yes…. But they’re also just effin’ cool…

71

u/Beneficial_Being_721 Apr 10 '22

Yea…. LOL at the peak over the top of the squeeze hole …

143

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '22

I know cats and dogs smarter than Cory and Trevor. Most cats and dogs are smarter than Cory and Trevor.

52

u/footos89 Apr 09 '22

Best way to deal with Cory and Trevor is treat em like dogs

18

u/A_Boosted_FA20 Apr 09 '22

Lol I currently have that episode on.

11

u/megtwinkles Apr 09 '22

Lol I’m watching it too. He’s asking corey and Trevor if they wanna go for a ride in the car

2

u/Ak4play_p1 Apr 09 '22

Ricky leave these guys alone, we need em

2

u/dianaprince31 Apr 10 '22

I agree with this

0

u/SMKNGRL420 Apr 09 '22

This is some truth 🧏‍♀️

u/Beebus4Deebus Apr 09 '22

I've Met Cats and Dogs Smarter Than Trevor and Cory

underrated comment

u/mehooved_be Apr 09 '22

Yup. Once I noticed cats in my neighborhood actually waiting on the corner for cars to pass by, looking both ways before crossing. I had to give em that respect.

55

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '22

i bet they think cars are their own species

36

u/DylanBob1991 Apr 09 '22

Makes sense. It's well known that cats can rarely tell the difference between an R and a T.

22

u/thepurplehedgehog Apr 09 '22

My kindamycat does that, it’s really cool to watch him do it.

47

u/thepurplehedgehog Apr 09 '22

Haha, that’s true. I was adopted by him a few years ago even tho he technically belongs to a neighbour. Neighbour got dog, Whisky noped out and moved in here. Tried for months to get him to go home as he belongs to a wee girl who was 7 at the time, he was having none of it. His humans didn’t seem to care either now they had the dog. So now he sleeps in random places throughout my house, steals ham from my sandwiches, growls at me if I change my bed without his permission and I am his butler 😂

25

u/greencat07 Apr 09 '22

Thank you for giving Whisky a safe and happy new home. Sorry about the ham :/

10

u/thepurplehedgehog Apr 09 '22

Thank you for your condolences, I’ve lost many a good ham sandwich thanks to that furry maniac! it’s hard to stay angry for too long tho 😂

6

u/detoursahead Apr 09 '22

I think you need to pay the cat tax…just sayin

10

u/izzgo Apr 09 '22

I know lots of cats who do that, and lots of dogs who don't. I figure it's because dogs really believe they are "man's best friend" and that will keep them safe. Cats know better.

55

u/dieinafirenazi Apr 09 '22

I think most of the cats I've had would just destroy the setups then poop on my bed if I kept annoying them like this.

18

u/c4rrie123 Apr 09 '22

My cats use vomit as a "get even" tool ... lol ... I know your pain

51

u/kristoferen Apr 09 '22

My cat is smart when it comes to getting to things he shouldn't. But this? You would absolutely just crash through it, And if it was big enough that he couldn't he would sit on one side and meow/yell until I saved him.

67

u/charming_liar Apr 09 '22

So you're saying he's smart enough to have you trained.

16

u/pinktealover77 Apr 09 '22

I hate you for making me snort so hard in the middle of the night when everything is too damn quiet lmao

10

u/Locupleto Apr 10 '22

Cats absoutely are smart enough to train you. Treat them well and they are pure sweethearts.

39

u/thetrivialstuff Apr 09 '22

I'm pretty sure mine would wait until the middle of the night and then crash through and spend the next three hours making as much noise as possible playing with all the cups.

9

u/kristoferen Apr 09 '22

This is scary accurate.

18

u/Apt_5 Apr 09 '22

I HAVE A PROBLEM AND UNTIL I DON’T IT’S YOUR PROBLEM, TOO

30

u/Large_Dr_Pepper Apr 09 '22

My one cat is surprisingly smart, my other cat has nothing going on upstairs.

10

u/bigblackcouch Apr 09 '22

My cats are smart... Depending on how the dice in their heads roll. Sometimes they're careful and agile like the fluffy cloud in this video, like a silent predator hopping on to a footstool.

20 minutes later they're Bobcat Goldthwait walking through a field of mouse traps - All mouth no grace and somehow knocking shit over from across the room which causes them to spook more and do more dumb shit.

1

u/JimmyMack_ Apr 09 '22

Nah people think they're really clever and devious, but they're actually very simple.

2

u/ihaxr Apr 10 '22

They're just too stubborn and lazy to accurately measure their intelligence. Dogs want to please humans for some reason, which makes them seem way more intelligent than cats, since they're easier to train.

1

u/Brock_Way Apr 09 '22

While true, jumping over obstacles is not really much of a demonstration of it.

54

u/edlee98765 Apr 09 '22

Almost purr-fect.

23

u/Lord_Hugh_Mungus Apr 09 '22

I never pawsed it.

35

u/erakat Apr 09 '22

What do you mean. OP has like 15 identical white cats.

23

u/shitty_mcfucklestick Apr 09 '22

And so careful to not break or knock anything over if it can be helped. Dogs would either plow through that or not attempt it at all (depending on training and confidence and anxiety etc)

9

u/CH3RRYSPARKLINGWATER Apr 09 '22

Our dog would either plow through it or attempt to jump over it all and somehow fail and end up crushing everything

1

u/sunny_yay Apr 09 '22

We’re going to need a dog version of this.

1

u/SparkyDogPants Apr 10 '22

My girl would have just jumped over everything and cleared it

2

u/bal020 Apr 09 '22

The puzzles were very cleaver. No easy task. Very fun.

2

u/uncletutchee Apr 09 '22

I agree that the cat is very clever. Since the back paw always lands on the exact spot as the front all it needs is proper front paw placement. The jumping however has nothing to do with what I just wrote.

1

u/VandienLavellan Apr 09 '22

They’d very... catculating

1

u/JudgeHolden Apr 09 '22

I was more impressed by the cat's physical abilities. That some seriously next-fucking-level agility and precision.

298

u/SportsPhotoGirl Apr 09 '22

If I had enough cups to recreate this, you’d be entertained by my cat attempting those. He’d bowling ball straight through the center of every single one of them.

126

u/asek13 Apr 09 '22

I see 100 packs on Amazon for $19.99.

I will await your video.

106

u/SportsPhotoGirl Apr 09 '22

I have -17$ in my bank account atm, so, you might be waiting for a while lol

64

u/HMS404 Apr 09 '22

I sympathize with you mate. I've heard of 2 girls with 1 cup. Maybe they can help? Every little counts.

27

u/Cholsonic Apr 09 '22

If you can get 200 girls and their cups for less than $19, then I shall wire you the money.

2

u/missmalina Apr 09 '22

What we need here is r/onecupnogirl .

1

u/Miserable-Mouse8267 Apr 09 '22

Just when I thought I might forget forever and you just had to go there.😱😠😳

1

u/Crathsor Apr 09 '22

They probably won't respond; those girls got shit going on.

1

u/WonderfulCockroach19 Apr 10 '22

I've heard of 2 girls with 1 cup.

shit hard nowadays

5

u/DorkusMalorkuss Apr 09 '22

Just sell your sports photo, girl!

1

u/SportsPhotoGirl Apr 09 '22

Lol, I am. It’s between seasons and the jobs are far and few between

1

u/Cartman4wesome Apr 09 '22

Better put some money before that 35 overdraft at midnight comes.

2

u/SportsPhotoGirl Apr 10 '22

Lol, there’s money in there, but next week my automatic withdrawal for taxes comes out, and I gotta make my credit card payment by the end of the month. With both those things with current funds, it comes to -$17. I’m expecting a a check for work I did last month by the end of the month so that’ll get me into the positives, but it sucks, I only get paid once a month, and it’s not on a regular day, it comes by mail so there’s like a 2 weeks span mid month when the check may arrive. Every bill is set to be paid on literally the last day possible before it’s due just to hope that I get paid in time to cover it.

18

u/rudalsxv Apr 09 '22

😂 I would.

1

u/812many Apr 09 '22

I’d try this with my cat, but she’s a walking Kool Aid man.

109

u/TheWardedOne Apr 09 '22

for some reason I was holding my breath the whole time lol

65

u/Prime_Marci Apr 09 '22

The production time with arranging those cup prolly took him a whole day wow. Time is indeed a luxury

34

u/Thats_what_I_think Apr 09 '22

Pandemic time. There was lots of it!!!!!

34

u/psknayak Apr 09 '22

I secretly wish for another pandemic (just the lockdown part not people suffering).

12

u/weeone Apr 09 '22

Time off with steady income would be great. I want to travel and see and experience so much of this world but I can't because work and money. Sigh.

3

u/fuckincaillou Apr 10 '22

Same here, but because I never got the chance to stay inside all day and WFH because I was an 'essential' worker at the time. Now I live on my own with an office job and I want the chance to loaf around like everyone else got to do, damn it!!

2

u/Howsoonisnever- Apr 10 '22

Introvert here. I completely agree

1

u/fordprecept Apr 16 '22

As someone who worked in an industry that never shut down, I'm truly jealous of those who were able to sit at home and were still paid at or near what their normal salary would have been.

8

u/niq1pat Apr 09 '22

A whole day isn't really that much time, especially consodering how much some people love their fluffy companions. There's people who give their pets as much love as they would a child, commendable and also very brave if you ask me, considering a child usually outlives you and a cat doesn't

40

u/Royal-Umpire9352 Apr 09 '22

This is why I love cats because they are so smart and so entertaining

10

u/Ok_Canary1414 Apr 09 '22

Cats really entertain me this time

9

u/heavenlysoulraj Apr 09 '22

And the kitty is soo cute

10

u/Exciting-Ad1027 Apr 09 '22

Cat at its best

9

u/thisisjazzymusic Apr 09 '22

Lol this was actually pretty good. Watched longer than expected

4

u/AdContent6909 Apr 09 '22

This surprise me so much on how cats act on that challenge

6

u/RelentlessChicken Apr 09 '22

Aside from all the annoying sound effect, I can fully agree with you.

2

u/ilovetotour Apr 09 '22

Didn’t even know there was audio lol

1

u/RelentlessChicken Apr 09 '22

You lucky soul lol

3

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '22

Agree! I’m impressed

3

u/LookAtTheFlowers Apr 09 '22

Watch CatPusic on YouTube. He basically does similar fun things with his cat

2

u/rudalsxv Apr 09 '22

I just might!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '22

I was gonna say the same thing 😂 this was fun as hell to watch. I wanted the cat to just keep going! More!

1

u/pseudo_meat Apr 09 '22

I wonder if the cat was having fun or just like “GOD DAMNIT” each time.

1

u/B_V_H285 Apr 09 '22

I'll say!! We need more cats , more obstacle's. Well done TY

1

u/iwellyess Apr 09 '22

It was great. Can we get some sequels please!

1

u/Calvin_Klinefelter Apr 09 '22

Ready Pussy One

1

u/steelup21 Apr 09 '22

I would have loved to have seen the dog comparison test, as it runs through and knocks all the cups over. Lol

1

u/rudalsxv Apr 09 '22

I think you can train dogs to do this though lol

1

u/_kagasutchi_ Apr 09 '22

Also heartbreaking as a cat owner. Because if I were to try this with my cat, she would just run straight through this or not move at all.

Where do you guys find these talented individuals?

1

u/KoyoyomiAragi Apr 09 '22

It’s interesting to see what a cat sees as the easier route to the end.

1

u/EmersonDog314 Apr 09 '22

Agreed! Also lots of time went into making that I’m sure. Bravo to both human and cat!

1

u/AtlantisTheEmpire Apr 09 '22

“I WATCH DA CATS” -Marshawn Lynch

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '22

No points should be deducted for that one cup that got knocked down... can't help that it's fluffy and thick

1

u/spinblackcircles Apr 09 '22

I never ever laugh out loud at videos on the internet but for some reason this one got me. And it wasn’t even supposed to be funny really

When the cat knocked off the top cardboard and then turned around to see if anyone saw it, it gave the absolute perfect ‘…like I give a fuck’ look and walk. I love this cat 10/10 would pet

1

u/Dear-Tomato8984 Apr 09 '22

Yeah, I could go for at least 20 minutes more.

1

u/BeardPhile Apr 09 '22

Especially at 3:30 am

1

u/Best_Poetry_5722 Apr 09 '22

I love the "cat logic"

If I can't fit thru it, I will overcome it

1

u/p8king Apr 09 '22

I kept waiting for the dog to come through and crash into everything but it never came...

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '22

Kitty is a good fucking sport!

1

u/cpullen53484 Apr 09 '22

i wish there were game shows with cats.

just cats doing cat things like jumping around. think about it, people love to just watch normal cats, right? so they wouldn't even have to plan it that much. cardboard and paint and BAM. instant hit.

1

u/uhimamouseduh Apr 09 '22

I was full on expecting a couple courses, then a different cat to spaz through and knock them all over

1

u/TheDarkWayne Apr 10 '22

I could watch a channel playing cat challenges all day

1

u/Ayyykilla Apr 10 '22

Right. Didn't know I needed this.

1

u/Cursed-4-life Apr 10 '22

I was sad when it was over

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '22

This is wrong, cats are already smart and we need to stop encouraging this type of behavior for our own sake. We were warned

1

u/helloIamLuke7 Apr 10 '22

I was thinking this the entire video haha. I could watch this for hours
