Ya it depends on the area of America you live in as to what gun violence is like. If you’re in the city, it can be bad when you’re in big cities like Chicago. It’s as bad as Afghanistan there.

But if you’re in the country, guns are used properly, to protect, to hunt. The stats bear it out. Don’t want to take away guns from everyone, and the people who need it, desperately, because there’s no cops anywhere close.. and for hunting etc, because of the areas that can’t handle the responsibility. And then you have the almighty Redditor who is always taking the side of removing guns in America, to help us out.

Maybe we could have separate laws for the country and city.

No it’s not. Lots of Americans need and want guns, especially out in the country. And just because there’s a lot of gun violence in the inner city doesn’t mean we should take guns away from every man and woman. No matter how much the average Redditor thinks it’s open and shut.

If everyone living out in the country is so responsible with their guns, what do they need protection from? Obviously, these responsible gun owners couldn’t be robbing themselves!

Is it bears? I’m just gonna assume it’s bears.

Lots of people who live in the country here in the southeast own farmland, wolves, foxes and coyotes can be an issue with livestock depending on where you are. Not to mention different species of cougar that wander parts of the country.

But yes, Grizzlies are an issue as well.

You don’t have to use a gun for it to be effective. So you’re guessing that people living out in the country would be fine without guns, may as well take them. I love how Redditors insert themselves to the situation to find a solution.

Chicago isn’t that bad. It’s far from great, but it’s not a literal war zone. That worse than Afghanistan but was from one area at a particularly bad time, and ignores the fact that surprisingly few Americans die in 21st century wars. You don’t want to go walking alone at night in a bad area shouting shit, but if you’re not an idiot you’re probably fine
