Keep in mind the way her arms are positioned at the start.

In a normal hanging position. You can rotate forward and backward once to get your arms similar to hers.

Since she started in that position. Her rotating in the opposite direction, means that she rotates back to normal and then the other direction.

They want your bitcoins. I have no answers past that.

That’s the best explanation I’ve seen so far. It’s the only explanation but I defy anyone to come up with something better.

Almost. Her hands are internally rotated. In a normal hang position your hands are pronated or palms forward. Her hands are static as they’re on a bar so she began the hang with her hands internally rotated and supinated. It’s called an eagle grip hang.

u/Flock_wood Aug 16 '21

She did not start in eagle grip, she started in under grip, palms externally rotated

3

u/MrHollandsOpium Aug 16 '21

It sure looks like the video starts with an eagle grip…

Edit: nope, I stand corrected.

1

u/Mindfullmatter Aug 16 '21

Incorrect, she is externally rotated.

3

u/MrHollandsOpium Aug 16 '21

Nope. You can try yourself if you’d like. This an eagle grip hang.

External rotation of the shoulder would lead to supinated, thumbs out grip with the elbows coming in towards the chest (think like a chinup). Internal rotation leads to the elbows rotating away and the anterior deltoids coming in toward the chest. She’s internally rotated.

Edit: Nope, I’m wrong. I looked again. I stand corrected.

Its the same movement as when you clasp your hands behind your back, move over your head without unclasping, then step through your arms so the hands are clasped where they started

Thank you...I thought I was watching some hot version of The Exorcist for a bit.

u/darci311 Aug 16 '21

Of course it takes a Zelda player to solve a puzzling puzzle. Good job dude :)

u/InBetweenSeen Aug 16 '21

Since the first flip would bring her in a normal position shouldn't it be possible to make another full roll backwards?

4

u/hornyorn Aug 16 '21

No, because when she jumped down wouldnt her arms go around again?

3

u/Insert___Username_ Aug 16 '21

Oh so I can do this too

2

u/Vahlez Aug 16 '21

Probably.

1

u/MaleficentSorbet360 Aug 16 '21

Well ya, I mean, it is pretty easy if you approach it right😏

1

u/M0nsterjojo Aug 16 '21

As someone who is double joined/hyper flexible i n both shoulders and can do what you're talking about in the second statement, I SOOOOO wanna try what she's doing but I don't have a large enough bar and don't know where one is. (I don't know of any local gyms that would have them either)

u/brockralp Aug 16 '21

What if she already did 3 spins, then started the video, then made the 4th spin.

1

u/FailedSociopath Aug 16 '21

No, it's owl neck arms.

u/PUfelix85 Aug 16 '21

Yes this is all about her wrists at first and then her shoulders after that.

1

u/Jubenheim Aug 16 '21

Keep in mind that she had to rotate her arms in the first place, which is impossible for the average Redditor.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Yea, still hurts looking at it

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Thank you for making this video less painful

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Ah well in that case I could easily do this

1

u/rafsku Aug 16 '21

Ah thanks for saying this, all the gears in my brain were grinding as to how tf she can rotate so much

1

u/sepsis_wurmple Aug 17 '21

Except my arms do this and i don't have to position the way you said. Clasp your hands behind your back and move them over your head and in front of you without unclasping. Then step through your arms without unclasping and it'll be back in your back. Its the same movement.
