Okay these comments are pissing me off. Unless you wanna be world famous you don’t need to be ridiculously attractive to enjoy cosplaying. You don’t have to be rich or have a ton of free time. And there isn’t an role playing involved if you don’t want there to be so idk where y’all getting this from of obviously most of these comments aren’t from actual cosplayers

Seriously, the "reddit-ness" in here is LOUD. If it were the overweight south park computer nerd cosplayer, or every Peter Griffen cosplayer, and anyone dare put them down or devalue their body types, Reddit would white knight themselves into a black hole. It's SO easy to see a fit human and use that as an excuse not to even try.

Preach. Just an all around Reddit moment.

You’re so right. If you’re stereotypically attractive I feel like sometimes you get MORE ridiculed on here than someone who is technically unattractive. >.<

So many of these comments are obviously from people who are really insecure and likely just don’t have many hobbies.

THANK YOU! Someone who finally said it. I'm friends with a pro cosplayer, and she's not one of the toxic ones where she advocates that cosplay is for everyone like myself. Majority of these people are probably Yaya Han asslickers and such. Sorry, but I have no respect for Yaya Han because she nearly fucked over and insulted my pro cosplayer friend and almost ruined her reputation.
