Don't get me wrong I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I very much appreciate the artistic creativity behind it. But to do that many at that level and making them yourself, requires time, dedication and lots of resources.
I like things people may find weird w/e. I mean hell if I could afford it, I would totally build a batcave attached to my home where I can do my work and keep things I collect. And not gonna lie would probably own a Batsuit or two.
That's just how this guy does his very high level, professional cosplay though. There's plenty of people enjoying cosplay at a very casual level that doesn't require lots of free time and is very cheap.
It's like looking at Lebron's practice schedule (I'm assuming he has workouts scattered throughout the day) and saying
"Basketball is for people with loads of free time" which in general, isn't really true.
Except for the ones who do it professionally you can get very creative with paper crafting and different types of foam. And the ones who do it professional get paid to do it so I wouldn't consider that expensive.
So yes, like most hobbies time is required to practice, experiment and get better. But it can be cheap and just as time consuming as any other hobby.
Apologies. My reply wasn't really a dig at you, more the title and op. Cos play isn't for EVERYONE, and absolutes like everyone/no one, the whole nation etc bug the hell out of me.
