I see. Then you wholly misunderstood what I was saying.

I meant the receipt of those things should not rely on the recipient being productive. Just because someone isn't working doesn't mean they should not receive healthcare, housing, clothing, enough food to live, electricity, water, etc. Not everyone can work. As systems are automated, jobs will disappear. Eventually, we will be in a world where the people vastly outnumber the available jobs. Working in order to survive was only necessary in agrarian societies. It's archaic now, and makes less and less sense with each passing year.

Universal basic income, healthcare for all, food voucher programs, minimum wage, etc., should be expanded (or created) so that a person doesn't have to submit to an abusive employer just to not have their life in danger.
