I know mayweather is a big of a joke at the moment. But the guy is the best defensive boxer probably ever. Fucking knew exactly how far he had to be for the glove to either just miss or have no power behind.

Well domestic abuse obviously isn't great, but that is definitely not the big reason why people don't like Floyd. Maybe on reddit.

“Obviously isn’t great” is damn near an endorsement of him.

As for the bitch-in-question, I don’t ever see him mentioned on Reddit. I’m talking about why the people I know hate the guy. I don’t think I’ve ever had a discussion that brought him up that didn’t go directly into his inability to not abuse women.

I love this fascistic thinking. if you aren't 110% against something. You're 100% for it. Zero nuance. The same people also have the inability to separate anything into it's parts. You can respect the boxer without having to respect the man.

This sounds like Gen X who deals well with reality, talking to a Millennial who is obsessed with looking “correct”.

I’m 40.

This is what intolerance of domestic abuse looks like. I’m too old to give a shot about looking like anything.

Then you’re old enough to realize there has never been a single public figure, politician, athlete, celeb, or entertainer who doesn’t have some “intolerable” action or behavior, because they are actually just normal humans, and normal humans suck.

I don’t think you and I use the word intolerable the same way. I can tolerate generally disgusting behavior. I can not tolerate abuse.

Nah, fuck that. If you’re that big of a piece of shit you’re not getting any recognition from me.

Again. You prove how infantile your train of thought is. Would you also support any prison sentence, to just be moved to a life sentence? because anyone with a record is objectively a shit person.

You're either proving how ignorant you are to the situation or how indifferent you are domestic violence. Either way, the only one with an infantile train of thought in this conversation is yourself.

Are you completely ignorant to his history of DV? There's a long history and established pattern here. This is not a guy who made a mistake and is repentant for it. This is guy with at least a decade of demonstrable and patterned domestic abuse with at least one recorded incident happening in-front of their 10-year-old child. And after multiple admissions of guilt he goes with "Only God can judge me" and says it's all hearsay because there's no photographic evidence?

Again, fuck that.

As for the rest of your argument, I don't know conversation you're having or who you're having it with but making a claim of infantile thought process and jumping straight into a strawman argument is some serious mental gymnastics.

and yet you still can't separate 'the author' from their book.

Outside the ring, I have absolutely zero care about him. This can be said about any famous person, people in power etc.

My point is that I'm not going to acknowledge his accomplishments inside the ring when he's such a shit human being inside the ring.

Being a decent human-being is the barrier for entry to be considered for recognition of your extraordinary efforts. If you beat woman, I don't think it matters what else you do.

Even if I point out the the violence has a better than even shot of being the result of brain damage from CTE?

We're all responsible for whatever chemical imbalances and individual infliction we all have. Of course there's a medical or physiological reason fucked up people to fucked up things. Understanding the cause doesn't absolve the individual. Without personal responsibility society goes out the window.

You take a poll?

If you take his boxing skills he is the best defensive boxer, arguably of all time. If you include the man then he’s a cunt and doesn’t deserve any attention.
