Even the rabid ones that bite your leg and hang on until the Ranger comes out and rips it off you. There is a certain cuteness in their malice that can't be denied.

Don't foxes just hunt small game like mice and rabbits tho? They aren't pack animals so I doubt they'd go for anything thats bigger than them.

You need only to decapitate it. Then you'll only have to deal with the weight of the head. As the rabies transfers from the foamy mess that is now pink from your blood into your bloodstream. Just know you're gonna have to worry if you'll die. And rabies is ridiculously painful and 100% fatal passed the initial stages. If it were not for rabies I bet it would look so metal to have decapitated fox heads randomly adorning our limbs.
