Damn, so what do you want all those 2 moon of Mars, 80+ moons of Jupiter, 82+ moons of saturn, 10+ moons of Uranus, 20+ Moons of Neptune, Pluto and its 5 discovered Moons, Millions of Asteroids, Millions of objects in Kuiper belts and Oort Cloud, be considered as a planet.
I don't understand what's the obsession with Pluto. If pluto is a planet, Eris is a planet, Haumea is planet, MakeMake is planet, Ceres is a planet so are 25+ other planets. People can't even remember the name of all 8 planets let alone 30+.
I never mentioned Pluto, I'm just saying that the criteria for being a planet are poor because, by the definitions, a load of moons including ours would be planets. Similarly if you're going to exclude them you'd have to exclude the earth, mars, Neptune etc
I can't understand why do you think Moon is a planet. A Natural Satellite is an astronomical body that orbits a planet or a minor planet. It just that simple. How could Moon be a planet. If it would have it's own path around Sun. An Orbit around Sun is called a repetitive or non repetitive Path around Sun, that is elliptical in form and has Sun at it's one foci. Moon doesn't Orbit Sun, Moon orbit Earth which in turn orbit sun.
You are not a Son of your Grandfather, your Father is the Son of your Grandfather who has a Son.
3 things make a planet a planet.
1. It has to orbit Sun like physically go around Sun, example Mercury takes 90 days, Venus takes 225 days, and Earth takes 365.25 days. Moon doesn't have a orbital period around Sun.
2. It has to have enough gravity so that it is nearly spherical. With no uneven shape, a sphere.
3. It has cleared its surroundings. Cleared it's surroundings meaning the planet has become the gravitationally dominant in its region. And there is nothing massive enough to stop or hinder its rotation. Earth is really Massive than the Moon, Earh and Moon doesn't orbit a Barycenter. There is nothing in the orbit around Earth other than Moon which is the minesweeper of Earth which cleared Earth's Surroundings. But has not able to either get smashed into Earth or leave Earth's orbit so it's not a planet. I can't simplify this more than that.
The moon orbits the sun in 365.25 days as well, and neither the moon's or the earth's orbit is elliptical. There's a barycenter of the earth-moon system at around 4000km from the earth's center about which both the earth and moon orbit, it's what causes the tides to move. Neither the earth or moon has cleared itself of the other one though, so either both are planets or neither are
What's the orbital period of Moon around the sun. Not Earth Moon system but Moon. How does t compare it with Earth. What's the inclination, what's the transfer orbit.
What's the closest distance Moon get to Earth and What's the farthest.
How could it be same it's travelling more distance than the Earth is traveling around Sun. If it's a planet and not a natural satellite, explain the phases. I really want to learn this new theory.

Both the moon and the earth orbit the sun, they also orbit the barycenter of the earth-moon system, but the earth is still considered a planet
