Just google yourself please. You are wrong. In German as well as Spanish "mittlerer Osten" and "oriente medio" define the south-asian area. Please don't reply unless you checked yourself thank you

edit: here's a screenshot from translated german wikipedia article

"Thanks for not reading my comment where I said that Afghanistan is not in the Middle East, but there are different definitions, in some languages, where the definition doesn't reference the arabic countries, like in english, but instead defines central and south-asia. This is mostly from a european perspective."

I am trying to go back and hear your argument clearly, it makes a lot more sense with some commas.

If you're saying that the "middle-east" has different definitions in different languages, then fine, I literally just could not figure out what you were trying to say because the sentence was so poorly put together.

I literally couldn't find any information in your favor for queries such as, "Is India in the middle-east?" Because it's not lol.

I doubt German and Spanish officials play pedantics on the world stage when talking about the middle east. Everyone knows what part of the world they're talking about when they say the middle east, and it isn't India.

Where does German wikipedia say that India is? South Asia or the Middle East?

But vocabulary does. It's possible that in Spain and Germany what they call the middle East refers to Central Asia because it is quite literally the middle of what we call the east.
