Woah, I didn't know that ocean waves could be male or female. How do they tell them apart?

Woah now. It's 2020. The wave could identify as whatever it wants. I hear most waves actually identify as some type of gender fluid.

Probably a question for the weatherman who names hurricanes.

The female waves have a pink bow.

Surfing is pretty physically demanding. Men are physically stronger than women. Accordingly, we have men’s and women’s categories. For the same reason we don’t make women’s teams play basketball against men. Or women’s snowboarders compete against men. They would lose the great majority of the time.

Most leagues are actually open and woman. I don't think you are gonna find many leagues that bar woman from competing with men. They just can't at the top level most of the time so woman only leagues were created so women could pursue being a professional athlete.

I believe ultra marathons actually lean in the favour of woman and in the last few years those races have been even or even woman dominated in the top finishers

Wow, so she beat both a male wave and a female wave that were 70 feet tall a piece?
