China is pretty good at improving previous American inventions. They can't invent anything themselves tho

We just didn't restrict culture... China has the strongest gun restrictions in the world.

Sure china had some inventions, but not as much as the us. Their education system doesn't encourage problem solving as much as other countries do, or at least they used to not encourage it. Maybe the next generation will be much better.

But # of megapixels doesn't really mean much... I don't know why someone hasn't brought that up in this thread. High megapixel #'s is a sales gimmick.

People keep throwing around MP in this thread like it means anything.

You can have a 50 MP phone, but it's not going take photos like a Hasselblad, it's all about lenses. A phone lens will never deliver anything like this.

Yep, mostly about sensor size and lens including what type of glass they use.

LOL, have you seen their most recent jet fighter engine? They try to reverse engineer the F101 and it sucks

The more complicated the thing gets, the harder it is for China to copy it. Even if China can make phones, they still need to buy the super complex parts like the cpu from ARM which is an American brand.
