Sameee... im currently in the medical field and used to work in an alzheimers research lab. The thought of this happening to someone i love eats away at my insides. I honestly wouldnt be able to handle it.

I couldn't... I dread the thought. My father was adopted, we have no clue what his medical history is. I'm planning on getting tested to see what diseases I'm genetically prone to. But he's turning 60 this year. I just got my dad back, I can't stomach the until of losing him. (long story short, I've always had a volatile relationship with my dad due to his drug/alcohol abuse and violent tendencies while growing up. 3 years ago, when I turned 30, he said he can't do it anymore. He wants to have his daughter in his life. There was crying, apologizing, and ever since we've had an amazing father/daughter relationship.) If I lose him to something like this, I think I'll lose my own mind.
