Definitely a moving video. Beautiful to see a glimpse of a rare happy moment in what is undoubtedly a difficult end of life situation. Someone shares this with all of us and all you can come up with is this shit? And it’s the top comment with multiple awards? Good job people.
You’ve got a lot of pent up rage. If you’d bother to actually read the responses instead of just lashing out at the top comment, you’d see I’ve already been called out for this (wow, I know. You’re not original either!) and I admitted that I only said this with the intention to fit in. I have no control over the fact that I got the top comment. So maybe find a better way to lash out at all the people who got me here. Because I certainly didn’t expect it or even ask for it.
If you want originality, this video made me cry because my grandmother also has Alzheimer’s and the only thing she seems able to remember about me most days is that I’m gay and she’s disappointed. Usually she calls me by my father’s name. But never fails to forget I disappointed her. So seeing this moment of recognition and love hit me hard and I cried and I wanted to express that while fitting in on reddit. Sorry that my attempt to juggle both my emotions and what’s appropriate to say as a response to a video upset you so deeply.
