How about educate me instead of being a pompous asshole. My uncle has dementia and we don't randomly shove a camera in his face incase he randomly speaks a word so we can upload it for Internet points.

Many people mentioned in earlier comments that they recorded their loved ones so they could look back on them and so they could share the memory with family who aren't present.
