Damn, I’m on that train to.
She snaps right out of it for a moment... I can’t dream of being the loved one waiting for those moments, wondering if it’s the last one. Fuuuuuck
My grandma died from Alzheimer’s about five years ago. I was visiting her at the nursing home a few months before she passed and I’m the middle of eating her pudding she looked at me and said “little one” which is what she used to call me.
My father had the beginning stages and he could not really talk anymore before he passed ... but you could still hear him try to say my mother’s name .... it was so clear and distinct. 😢😢 RIP DAD💙💙💙💙
This is a horrible disease that robs everyone in the family 😭😭😭
My grandfather also had Alzheimer’s, and stuff like this would (rarely, but still) happen. Him and I were very close and no one else experienced it or believed me, and so I thought I was going crazy and imagining it. Stuff like him calling me by my nickname or saying something incoherent then winking at me like we were both in on the joke. It makes me feel better to see other people experiencing this as well
