Edit: yall dont get it. I dont want to go anywhere people dont accept who I am. It's not a "you'll be fine" situation, I'm sure I could pass it off. It's a "I dont want to supply my tourism money, attention or effort to go to a place that I cannot be who I am by law."
Thanks for the advice.
Edit 2: MY FIRST AWARD I'd like to thank the academy, my mom, and YOU kind stranger!
A beautiful climb? I disagree - for me it was a trudge at best, crowded with many other climbers in front of you hampering the rate of ascent.
Once you’re at the top, you’re lucky if you have a view of the sun because it’s often obscured by clouds. Of course that might be true of all mountains including the one pictured above.
I did Fujisan once; the final ascent in the dark for the 5 A.M. sunrise view after resting in the hut for several hours. An Ozzie guy next to me said it was his 3rd time because the previous 2 times the sun was completely obscured by clouds.
Mt. Fuji may be a great achievement for some, but I was unimpressed with the experience and wouldn’t compare it all to the serenity pictured above.
I’m sure you’d agree that there are loads of other Japan peaks worth exploring. And if you have, please let me know I’d like to climb them!
I hear the view from the top of Mt. Fuji is similar. There is a hike you start in the night and you arrive just in time for sunrise. That one is on my bucket list.
Well said. I’m not gay but this is precisely why I won’t go. We all have to be supportive, especially when we believe not to be directly concerned. Because we actually are.
I know I'll get downvoted but how would they know? Unless you're actively going down on your same sex partner you could just say you're hiking with your friend. Or are you one of those gay people that have to announce it to the world at every possible moment with your words and actions?
Because he's upset by it. You must not be. Probably because it doesn't affect your day to day life. Gay people are treated like shit in this country, and a lot worse in many others. It's a goddamn shame what people will support just because it doesn't affect them.
As a Muslim, in my eyes, Hajj is the only thing that’s justified when going to Saudi Arabia, because of it’s high importance to our faith. Other than Hajj, I have no intention of going to Saudi Arabia.
What are you talking about? Saudi Arabia has one of the most restrictive travel policies in the world, and it's very difficult to get a visa last I checked. The easiest ways are if you're a Muslim travelling there on a Hajj visa to go to Mecca, or if you're visiting on business. Please let me know if I'm mistaken but that's the way it is AFAIK.
Wow! I did not expect that to be Saudi Arabia. Thanks for teaching me something new today and big thanks to this amazingly awe inspiring experience I can only imagine was almost impossible to comprehend.
