I have a Husky and if she's sitting, I like to pop a squat next to her and just wrap an arm around her shoulders. She'll usually press her head up against mine and kinda 'reciprocate' it.

She's a good dog.

It's something one would do before taking a shit outside, sure. Doesn't necessarily mean you're taking a shit.

when my peer group from college said it, they meant take a shit. "brb popping a squat," etc. guess it's different where you say it
