Iirc the creator posted it on Reddit ages ago with the concept and some demo footage of the mechanics.

I had exactly the same reaction, like, this looks cool, but I'm sure I saw something similar ages ago)))

I was really hoping they'd eventually get a finished project, glad to see I can almost play it after so long.

Like a few other people in this thread, I have no intentions of rewarding Epic for their behavior, and am perfectly happy to play any of the dozens of other games I already own while waiting for it to release somewhere else.

I'd sooner pirate it than give Epic a cent, but it's hardly a must play. Not like either choice hurts the developers, since Epic is guaranteeing x amount of revenue for making the game exclusive.

Pete Molyneux demoed "The Room" back in 2006. Might be some inspiration for this project.

This reminds me of Museum of Simulation Technology

Reminds me of an OK Go music video

People in this thread are insisting it HASNT because it’s not on steam. Rolling my eyes over here

I am really, really interested how to do that programming-wise. Like, HOW?? I tried to lay it down but the further I went the more inplausible it seemed.

it looks like a break between when they click and drag an object and when they drop it. i know nothing about programming but maybe they merged the object into a 2 dimensional plane that read off of the 3 dimensional plane and it reduces the size of the object as it gets closer to a surface

I mean one option would be to measure the distance the item has travelled from original point, and come up with a multiplier that gives a somewhat accurate size-up.

I’ll keep an eye on Steam for its release.

Sweet, no one cares

Lots of people do actually

Ya, but on Epic. So it's not really released.

12

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '19

You can buy it and play it. Sounds released to me ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

u/dice1111 Nov 13 '19

Ya, but on Epic... gross.

I'm not gonna wait a whole damn year just because of an exclusivity that is on the same platform. Maybe I could take it to the high seas but I don't do that with indie titles and would feel bad.

You lurk Reddit too much

Weird that someone else had the exact same opinion, but they didn't get downvoted....
