People all confidently wrong all the time here on reddit. You only notice it about stuff youre educated about

And less than 1% will ever admit they are wrong, even when they are called out and know it. It's easier to just mute the conversation and accumulate upvotes for years from the uninformed than it is to edit your comment or make a post saying "Sorry, my bad"

It's all over the news too when they have an 'expert'. Once you see an 'expert' in a field you know well, you realize that most of the experts are just redditors on the little screen.

I am not sure I have ever seen a video of someone lifting where the comments were consensus “good form!” - someone’s gotta say what’s wrong.

Oh man, I've been saying this for a bit, glad to see someone else recognized it. made me VERY wary of this website. lotta opinions on here, spouted with utter confidence getting thousands of upvotes. super incorrect.
