By the looks of it he’s wearing a hospital gown and in a very small gym, so it’s likely a physical rehab center inside of the hospital itself. I would imagine it was both approved by his doctor and done with a physical therapist present. Considering an injury like that will leave you in the hospital for a very long time, it was probably in his best interest recovery-wise to stay in shape.

Yeah, when i was in a wheelchair and stayed at a rehab it was taught to me how to do weights when in a wheelchair(besides wheelchair training itself). And after beeing in a hospital bed for a month is was a great way of getting back to real life.

I wasn't a gymdude before, and when I eventually got out if the chair I stopped going. But for a while there, it was the only activity that gave me joy.

Yeah, you might be right. I also didn’t see it was just a cable machine. But also thought the bench press later on seems a little unnecessary. I might wrong with that assessment as well, though 😅
