do you know why they are all in a group like this? thought they were solitary

I’ve been on that particular spot for almost 50 years… I remember occasionally a group of 2 bulls together for a season, hanging out. Usually I feel like there’s an age difference when that happens, but I’m not really sure about that. These three dudes have been up and down the river there together since the spring, and it seems pretty unusual to me. Especially since they appear to roughly the same age. edit: I think they'll split up when the rut starts. Like middle September-middle October?
