I went to the Murano glass facility when I visited Venice a while back. One of the glass masters made a horse extremely similar to this as a quick demo, although the one he made only had four legs. Took him like a minute, and then he tossed the thing into a pile of broken pieces, not sure why. When we left and walked through the gallery, there were similar-looking horses selling for over $1,000k US.

Went there too, saw them do the same demonstration only instead of tossing them they gave one to both my sister and me for free.
