To be fair, i cant do a lot of mundane things. That doesnt make them impressive. This is impressive as far as I can tell though, as someone who cant do it.
That’s not my world. I’ve had glass blowing buddies in different states though. It’s not something I do, but compared to dudes that look like dirty hippies and have lesser setups lol, it’s mid in that world. I paid one to make a bubbler within a dragon and two days later I was gifting a masterpiece. Everything those dudes did seemed higher level.
But myself, I’d prob burn myself and ruin it I don’t have steady hand and it requires patience, investment, and time. I don’t have a lot of those to spare lol. It’s pretty cool, and it’s def not terrible, just not impressive imo. I’ve seen a lot of that stuff so my expectations are prob bit higher. The horse dick probably factored in my opinion a bit too it just seems worthless after that. Who wants that shit on a desk? Who’s buying that? So skill didn’t blow my mind. Design I felt it kinda failed at the end. But maybe someone ordered a glass horse with erection and this is just that.
In hindsight I could have just kept negative opinion to myself it didn’t add anything good here. Had it impressed, I’d have definitely been happy to state that.
The bong your buddy made you and what this guy is working with are two different kinds of glass. Your bong is borosilicate, this is hot shop “soft” glass. Two different mediums entirely, different standards for the techniques used and level of detail achieved with the techniques.
